I don't know about you ladies, but Valentine's Day doesn't usually register on my husband's radar, let alone his brain. Thankfully, I'm not much better, but I know that for some ladies Valentine's Day is a biggie and not all their husbands remember. So what's a girl to do? Get disgusted with her hubster? Give up on romance? Throw a fit? No way. As Zesters we know there's a better way.
This is one of those times that it's okay to take matters into your own hands. If Valentine's Day is important to you, and you want to celebrate it, then do it! Plan a special night. Put something for both of you into the plans to make it memorable.
Do you want romance? Create a romantic setting then go a step beyond that. What's something your husband would like? I mean really like. Do all you can to do something special for him. Add something different to your loving, don't just settle for routine –unless your husband is one who loves routine best. Even then, you can do something fun and colorful for awhile, and something routine for awhile.
BE his Valentine gift and let him BE yours.

Whether Valentine's Day is an important day for you not, don't let it go uncelebrated. Romance in marriage is too important to just throw up your hands and forget about it. Romance helps you connect on a deep, intimate level that is unique to marriage. Use this holdiay as a day to express some love to your husband and to make him feel appreciated. You never know, maybe he'll have an easier time remembering next year.
If your husband forgets or overlooks Valentine's Day, don't let it get you down. Just be his Valentine.

Great advice!
Reminds me of
"If you want to be the Queen of your castle, make your husband the King."
