Last Thursday morning—did you catch that? Thursday morning we were actually getting dressed around the same time so I kinda took my time while he watched. Well, whaddya know but the man started mouthing off about how I never flash him or anything anymore. THEN he started carrying on about how I should do a Zest post about flashing your husbands to add some zest to your marriages. (He doesn't read Zest...obviously!)I could not believe it! 20 years of marriage and we think so much alike that he foiled my Flash 'em Friday plans. And he had the nerve to think it was hilarious! I love that man but sometimes I really want to bonk him. Surprising him is really difficult.
If I had kept my face straight I might've been able to pull it off, but then he would've thought I was only flashing him because he mentioned it...but I didn't keep a straight face. LoL--I didn't whack him with a pillow, either (or smother him with it) like I thought about doing. He's still alive, but the shock value changed to sharing a laugh together—which isn't bad, just not what I'd planned on. So, let's just say that I did NOT get the response I thought I might. (Back to the drawing board...)
Anyone else have foiled plans?

9 Zesters spoke up:
with 'bonk' being aussie slang for 'have sex' I did have to re-read your post a couple of times and am now assuming you are meaning 'to bop him one/whack him' LOL!!
Too funny that his mind was headed in the same direction as AZ! You'll have to save it up for another time down the track!
That's too cute....sorry you were a little disappointed..but that is just funny to me....
Well, I couldn't wait until Friday....my 'flash' and our 'bonk' happened on Thursday.....
But hey...today is another Friday...I can try it again!
Too funny!!! :o)
Well, I remembered before your post reminding us, which is just as well seeing Friday had ended in my part of the world by the time the post came out!
I had fun flashing hubby. And I know he found it fun!! I'll have to make it a point of doing it more often!!
Thanks for the inspiration!!
ROFL, Mrs. B. I had NO idea what 'bonk' meant in AussieLand. THANK YOU for telling me! (I'll be careful with that word now! LoL)
YES, I meant bop him, smack him, whack him, hit him with the pillow. LoL That sort of thing. ;-)
I did eventual manage to somewhat surprise him, but definitely NOT like I'd wanted and planned. =]
Oh yeah! I forgot...
I'll be drawing this last week's ticket winner toady and posting the name on Sunday. =]
So keep commenting and you'll be entered in the next drawing. =] =]
Ha ha! Your story was too funny!
I just read the comments, and it looks like someone already beat me to it, but I was just going to comment, "I am guessing that by 'bonk' you didn't mean 'jump in the sack'" :-)
Lol I thought the same thing about 'bonk'! I was also thinking it was a rather interesting term to be seen here! :D
Isn't it great your husband and you think so alike? Maybe too alike sometimes... (hubby and I may just give up on the suprise christmas/birthday gifts, they don't seem to be very suprising)
Great story, Patty! Doncha just hate it when they foil your plans? mine did it to me about a week or so ago - different type of plans, but something that was supposed to be big impact, ended up being a dud. Oh well... There's always next time! Heather
Well, guess what? My hubs beat me to it, last week! That was very interesting...
