You'll never have to wonder if God has a sense of humor because the fact that I'm now a contributor to this blog absolutely attests to that. He can transform a woman expert at avoiding sex to one finally understands that sex begins in the kitchen, not in the bedroom (more about that later).
My name is Christa, and my prayer is that sharing my journey will provide hope and humor. If I can come to anticipate and enjoy intimacy with my husband, then don't be discouraged if this is a challenging area in your relationship!
My husband, Ken, and I will celebrate our 19th anniversary in June. This is, for both of us, a second marriage. Information I'm relating so you'll understand when I tell you that my five children are ages 33, 30, 27, 27, and 25. And yes, I did tell him I was the mother of five before he said, "I do." For over twenty years I have-on a good day-taught high school English. Ken s in animal health maintenance and repair, aka a veterinarian.
My debut women's fiction, Walking on Broken Glass, released in February of this year. Published by Abingdon Press, it's the story of a woman who uses alcohol to numb her pain, but on the way to sobriety, she discovers that road to normal may still be under construction. When Publisher's Weekly said, " This nonformulaic look at the spiritual redemption of a life is a bright start; debut novelist Allan is one to watch," I was quite excited. In fact, I hoped they would send someone to watch me because
then 'd be able to keep track of my car keys, and my cell phone, and my purse. In between postings, you can find me at my website (www.christaallan.com), Facebook, or Twitter.

Your book is on my to-read list, Christa! And there's NO WAY you have a 33-year-old.
welcome!!! I look forward to some things you have to share! My family is blended, and sometimes that puts a nix between me and my husband!

Christa--I'm a fan of your writing so I can't wait to read more of it here on Zest.
Marla is right, you look 29, no way you have a child in their 30's.
:)
Blessings,
Julie
